Greediness Is Common?

Friday night I was out for dinner with WT at her current favourite Japanese restaurant, Wa Zen.  She missed her grilled cuttlefish so much, I can sense that  :P  After dinner we adjourned to our favourite hang out place in Melaka Raya.

It was such a giggly girls night out.  Just the both of us, but enough to warm the heart and make me feel at ease.  She's my stress antidote I would say  :)

The waiter knew what we wanted.  As always, I'd order Iced Passionfruit Lemon Tea.  It used to be Oreo Chocolate Vanilla Shake but eversince I discovered passionfruit lemon tea, there's no turning back!

WT mentioned that I said "Thank You" in such a cutesy voice when the waiter served our drinks.  I defended myself and said, I say thank you to everyone, even the waitress in Wa Zen earlier on.  Nope, she said.  The tone is different, according to her.  Oh okay, perhaps a little high pitched.  I just wanna see him smile.

That was enough to send WT into a fit of laughters.  And when she didn't stop after 5 seconds, I joined in.  Wow, I truly can't remember when was the last time I laughed so wholeheartedly at something so trivial, which, perhaps does not even warrant a laugh in the first place.

I really owe it to the waiter then?  To have awaken this part of me which has been buried deep, deep, deep down in the corner of my wounded heart.  But come on... it's really rare to see him smiling.  He has this very cool expression everytime we went there, which is quite often I would say.  There was only on a rare ocassion or two that he actually smiled at me, or string up a sentence of more than 5 words!

 

As the night passed, we continued chattering about hundred and one stuffs in our life.  Then all of a sudden, it struck me that the 3 of us (including FF) had bought a few lottery tickets some time ago.  We bought and shared those tickets because FF could not bear to see the old man going from table to table asking random strangers to buy his tickets but to no avail.  So,I suppose the results should be out by now.  Did FF remember to check the result?

I asked WT, "Eh you think FF still keeps the tix or not?  Don't know whether she got check or not"

"Aiyah, burn already lar.  Coz normally they will announce the winner is from which state... never heard of it in Malacca so far"

"OMG you greedy pig!  That kind of announcement is for the 1st prize winner lar!  I'm not eyeing for that only okay.. even a few thousands is better than nothing, you greedy PIG!"

Hahahahahahahaaha.... so is greediness so common in us nowadays?  Or this is what we call as "Looking at the bigger picture"???!!!
