Reflection - January 2010

I remember having this kind of reflection post the first few months of 2009.  Then I stopped altogether after I've landed myself into a new job which took up most of my time.

Maybe I should be doing this again, to see what I have achieved (or not achieved) for the past whole month.  It's good to be able to take a few minutes off to reflect on what we have done (or not done) and what areas we can improve on.

So, albeit being a week late, here's my reflection for January 2010 :-

1.  I am just thankful  that I am still alive, after going thru hell the past few years

2.  I am sincerely thankful and blessed to be surrounded by loving family and friends, and now, not-so-new colleagues

3.  My medical check up showed a clean bill, and it meant the world to me, although I may not show it on the face

4.  I've gone back to my old routine, going out at least once a week to catch up with my buddy/buddies and unwind after a long, tiring week

5.  I drove all the way up to KL alone to stay with a friend and had a fantubulous time just bumming around and eating non-stop.. and oh yes, our (or rather, her) must-go place now IKEA  :)

6.  Bonded more closely with my gang at work

7.  Learnt to say "No" at certain things, especially when I'm being taken advantage of

8.  Survived the job I'm doing now, which used to be out of the league.  In fact, I'm loving it although the stress and workload could be killing  :P

9.  Cleared the clusters in my room and got rid of a lot of old stuffs that I refused to throw out in the past

10. Told someone of my past.  Briefly.  But it took a lot of courage to do so.  I don't know if I would regret, but so far, I'm still breathing and fine.

Looking forward to a smooth sailing February.  A week had passed and I have been busy preparing for work and recently, for Chinese New Year which is just a week away now.

Hope to pick up blogging again soon.  I actually have a lot to say about, but just don't have the time to sit comfortably to blog.  Especially to insert pictures.  No more time to carefully crop and watermark pictures.  Even transferring the pictures from the camera to the laptop seems like a huge task, let alone editing and uploading them here.  So from now onwards, please expect pictureless blog posts.  Boring, text-only posts.

Over and out.
